I am passionate about the human body; its ability to perform under duress and be stressed to the limits. With this passion I completed a bachelor of science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University where I became entranced with the sport of rowing and exercise physiology. I was inspired by fitness in Halifax where I spent dawn on the water, afternoons running on the harbor and evenings engaged as a board member and interim director of Nova Scotia Fitness Association. Through this organization I learned how fitness could inspire individuals to be healthier and happier. I have spent the past 4 years working as a personal fitness trainer from Halifax to Calgary and now in Edmonton. I have worked with athletes, special populations and everyone else in between over the years. I was able to expand my horizons in health promotion by working with Alberta Health and Wellness on their summer health promotion crew, entitled Healthy U, where we went to rural areas to promote healthy eating and active living as the base of well being.

I am currently pursuing a masters of science in the area of exercise physiology, working in the area of occupational physiology at the University of Alberta. I am excited to be working with Target Your Energy, where I have been given the opportunity to apply my knowledge with some of the greatest clients Edmonton has to offer!
