Tye Babb, started his journey into the world of health & wellness by earning his bachelor’s degree in Science with a specialty in Psychology. He then graduated with honours from the University of Alberta with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education & Recreation. Tye continued to develop his expertise by becoming a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. Through his own experience with back and neck injury, he explored the world of Pilates. Amazed by the benefits, Tye pursued certification as a Stott Pilates instructor. In his continued passion to increase the standard in the fitness industry, Tye has also become an AFLCA Instructor Trainer for the Provincial Fitness Unit of Alberta.
Tye is the president of Target Your Energy Personal Fitness & Development, which he established in 1999. This thriving business of dedicated fitness professionals provides personal training exclusively to all the Edmonton YMCAs as well as the Canada Place Fitness Association. In addition, Target Your Energy offers a convenient mobile personal training service in the comfort of the home or office.
Tye is a much sought-after public speaker and presenter on the important topic of workplace wellness. The long-term effects of workplace wellness programs are proven to decrease employee absenteeism, increase productivity, reduce stress & conflict, and improve job satisfaction.
Tye also speaks on health & fitness lifestyles. His practical interactive workshops and keynotes leave participants energized, motivated and empowered to live a healthier more productive life.
Tye Babb’s expertise has been featured in the Edmonton Sun’s Lifestyle section, Global TV’s Morning Fit Tips, and Life Networks weight loss program, Taking It Off.
In his busy schedule, Tye still finds time to personally coach individuals just beginning their journey to health and wellness and those who are at an advanced level of fitness.
